If the documentation says that Jinitiator is a must, then you should stay with it. My opinion is that you should look into the Oracle deployment documentation for the Forms version that you are using and do what they explain there. I think Jinitiator is for ALL Forms versions, not just for OLD versions, except if Oracle itself will recommend and document otherwise. Now you can see for yourself that, even if another applet viewer seems to work, it probably DOES NOT support the entire functionality of Jinitiator. I should repeat what I said previously, as far as I am aware Oracle DOES NOT support oficially runing a web deployed Forms application with any other applet viewer, except If you (or anybody) can help us with the solution or else some different That is the reason we want some solution which will allowĭOS Edit to work with JRE environment. Printed as it is without any printer control characters ** (which get printed when printed through Windows Notepad ~ if Major tool to view and print the documents ~ major issue is that in DOSĮdit tool, the text as extracted in particular format, through programs get Version of Oracle and still running fine with Jinitator have DOS Edit as Mentioned, good number of our programs which were developed in very old But as told, we are moving from Jinitiator to JRE environment.
